My research focuses on the cross-linguistic exploration of the morpho-syntax of the extended vP, with a particular attention to the interaction between argument structure, event structure, and case-licensing. My additional areas of interest are natural language processing, second language acquisition, and bilingualism.
My interests in syntax and morphology include:
- Morpho-syntax of case and agreement
- The syntax of aspect in Slavic
- Constructions with 'external' possessors and applied arguments
- Pronominal copula constructions across languages
- Quirky subjects in Icelandic, Russian, Hindi and other languages
- Ergativity
- Creole languages and languages in contact
(Haitian Creole and American Russian)
- Languages without case and agreement marking
